Thanks. I agree, much ado about nothing.

Regarding your statement that it is too dangerous to short miners, I would say that I do not disagree. My point is that this market is in flux right now, and I prefer to position when the odds are clearly in my favor and directional. Right now I'm just laying low and waiting.

Much of my trading is based on increasing my position as we near the ends of the range. Gold and miners are performing very well, relative to the rest of the market, but they are basing in a range. I choose to increase my positions as we near the top and bottom of what I perceive are those bands.

I wouldn't have to do any of this if I had traded miners last year, but buy and hold just killed me.
