well, i think you may be a bit too young <g> i know there are a lot of volcker lovers on this thread, but... i remember quite well the double digit interest rates that almost quashed our business before it had a chance to get off the ground, and yes, i know of people whose businesses failed....i HATED volcker at the time can you imagine thinking a 12% interest rate was "good" considering the 16 to 18% rates others were being charged? and all these people whining about 5%??? but beyond all that, do a google search on volcker and one world currency and the imf...oh and do some searching on his whitewash of kofi annan oil for food as well... i could go on.....at any rate call greenspan and volcker the opposites sides of the same 'coin' that destroys
