If I had been a Palestinian, I might've voted for Hamas too.

It's not like their lives were getting a lot better under Fatah and at least Hamas tried to establish relationships with the average person on the street.

If Fatah had tried harder to feed people and make their lives better, and not so hard to protect themselves the election would have gone the other way by far.

It's like the "surge tactic" we used in Iraq. We actually put troops into individual areas so they could react to local concerns and establish relationships. Hamas and Hezbollah do that all the time.
