It has been a slow process educating my wife about the things going on today. I started "waking" up seven years ago and ever since, I try to pass things on to her. Fortunately, she has seen enough things come true that she is starting to believe more of what I say. Some specifics: we watch every video that Peter Schiff puts on his website; we also listen to Bob Moriarty whenever he posts an audio interview. These have helped her see why the economy is the way it is but also why the government is part of the problem.

Just my own journey. Good luck.

I asked my wife to watch this. iousathemovie.com

This one is well done and really started it all on our journey to see the big picture.

Medical records are accessed by insurance companies, who share data. Once out in the business world, your info is available to anyone willing to pay.

I suppose I'm lucky. My wife has what I consider to be an appropriate degree of skepticism regarding the munificence of government.

But, here are some good books:

How do you change this kind of apathy?

Go to the magazine rack at Barnes & Noble. From some of the gun or hunting mags get a subscription form. Fill that out for your wife and mail it in. When the gun or hunting magazine arrives, tell her this is why you do not give this information out. ;-)
