so as to not muck up JP's thread with politics, I am responding to this message here:

While I disagree with pretty much everything you said (studdog), my point is that the crash of 2000 happened while Clinton was in office. And yet GWB was blamed for it.

9/11 was in planning for several years..which means it was planned during Clinton's presidency. It happened nine months after GWB took office. There is no way that he can be blamed for 9/11 happening.

Those two things were a big bag of shit to start with. Just as Obama has big bags of shit to start with.

What GWB doesn't get credit for is that there has not been a successful terrorist attack on U.S. soil. We know that isn't for lack of trying. If there had been a successfull attack after 9/11, he would have been criticized for not doing enough to stop it.
