John Hull: Spurious comments/spurious advertisements

Can you tell me if there is someone at Intel who would want to know about misleading advertisements?

In my local paper, a big office store conveniently had an Intel tag line running through a couple of blocks and ending in the Compaq block that was without an Intel processor (Cyrix powered).

Just returned from Atlanta and the big Sunday insert for one of the big retailers had a full page showing only three computers and the Aptiva E34 that llisted a K6 processor had the MMX Intel Inside Pentium Processor logo (triangle, oval and wording).

Am I overreacting or does Intel respond in some way to reports of this kind of misinformation, whether intentional or accidental?

Thank you for any information you can provide.

BTW Have others on this thread seen similar misidentification in media ads and store displays?
