Paul Volker is reported to be advising 'Bama as well, so perhaps it isn't all bleak. I had a copy of Volker's Changing Fortunes and one item that interested me was how he contrasted the Kennedy tax cuts, which he worked on as a young Treasury employee, with the Reagan tax cuts. He made some substantial distinctions between the two, which unfortunately I can't recall at this moment. If I had a way-cool library like Rambi the book would be at my fingertips instead of packed away somewhere.
