I am perhaps a bit too harsh. There will be progress as this effort will produce public goods for the world as a whole.
It focus people, it will bring different ideas to be discussed,some different people will be heard...

That's the one that Henry Adams saw--before writing "The Virgin and the Dynamo." The display is all changed now. I liked it a lot better like that!

EDIT: The Wikipedia pic says it's the Chicago world's fair but I don't think that's correct. I think it's the Paris exposition of about that time.
