I rented a car for the day and drove with my daughter and a friend of hers down to Sayulita to go surfing. I doubt I'd do that again.

I imagine you're not the only one. Our papers are full of stories of the drug wars going on down there. Oral's right - it's anarchy. Public officials and police are being assassinated almost everyday.

Today, in L.A., the local TV stations are all leading off with excited reporters standing in the blowing wind announcing that today is a red alert - the Santa Anas are blowing and "There's a high fire danger". It's like saying - "OK all you fire bugs, come on out and set those fires that we love to report." You can bet by the end of the day, there will be a fire and it will be caused by arson.
