If Florida/OK was the fourth game for both it would have been 4 sold out games for each. March Madness says it all, IMO. Ticket prices are insane. I remember when the Cotton Bowl often had national championship implications.

There is some methodology under which the major conference benefits in the calculations as compered to the smaller conferences. In a playoff a team like UTAH would have a better chance and going to the BCS than the other players like USC, FLA, etc. so naturally the major conferencea which probably have most of the tv money oppose this.
