If you get a serverance package are you eligible for unemployment coverage? I met a girl who was laid off last week who got a 5 month severance package. She said wasnt eligible for unemployment. So maybe unemployement #s are more deceiving that appear? On the other hand, she has 6 interviews out of 20 resumes she sent out, so people are still hiring.....and she will double dip with the severance and new job On the other other hand, she said all the jobs are paying less than what she is making now.. hmmmmmmmmm
