M2, it wasn't partisan at all. both parties are criminals for the business elite and bill clinton was a huge supporter of this kind of deregulation.

until we force our politicians to be honest, we will never get honest politicians. it is too easy for sociopaths and/or pathological liars to lie when there are no consequences.

bush has thrown personal responsibility out the window for blaming the financial crisis on prior presidents when it hit during his 8th year in office. what a punk that guy is. personal responsibility is for everyone else.

True that after the rewrite, 90 Senators voted for the right winger's bill. I agree that the press has been too easy on Rubin, though I always considered him Weill's yes man at Citigroup.
