Almost an exact description of what I did. I can speak from personal experience that I am treated more as a "resident elder" than as a "newcomer."

You're the one that did too many drugs when you were younger....in fact, I don't think you have ever grown up.

If Palestine was a resident elder - why didn't they join the UN before Israel did - because they weren't a country.
