That piece may be the best explanation of what is going on with the current economic environment. I was going to quote sections here, but urge all to read it word for word. If it were just a lending or banking problem, they could have started up new banks and had them lend for the same money. Instead, it's the creation of a world where the rich can get richer by sanctioned counterfeiting in form or another, that would make the rich richer if the markets had been stable, and which get a bailout during periods of instability.
