The GAO report said "it was typical of many past transitions and nothing out of the ordinary", i.e. - no big deal.

Most administrations are classy enough not to make a big deal of it.

Read the GAO report.

The incoming Bush admin did not "make a big deal" of it. It was mentioned once then the media took it from there. The MEDIA made a big deal of it not the administration.

But the GAO report is quite specific in that they couldn't determine the extent to which such vandalism had occurred in the past.

I would be shocked if any such vandalism was done in any outgoing administration in prior history. I can imagine employees taking unimportant items as mementos, but not taking presidential seals or writing graffiti on the walls.

If you have any evidence any of these things occurred under previous administrations please post your evidence. Otherwise, I think you should just admit you're making shit up as usual.

CJ, > Most administrations are classy enough not to make a big deal of it.

You sound just like the spokeswoman from the DNC:

> ''The real scandal here,'' Ms. Palmieri said, ''is how much time and money the Republicans have wasted in a vendetta against the Clinton administration. It's troubling that the White House cooperated so enthusiastically with this investigation, but refused to provide the G.A.O. with records of the energy task force headed by Vice President Cheney.''

No big deal, just pay for the repairs and laugh it off. Says the people who get oh-so-offended at "Barack the Magic Negro."

Read the GAO report. They noted similar things in the past. A lot of it is probably normal wear and tear. Others are definitely pranks. Signs switched around, phones disconnected, office equipment hidden.

Wingers don't like pranks. Too many were played on them while growing up.
