I did not have a problem with what Clinton did with Lewinsky (we all knew he was a cheating scumbag before he moved int the WH)....it was the way he attempted to put himself above the law, to circumvent the very provisions of a law he signed into effect that authorized the kind of inquiries he refused to answer in Jones' suit truthfully, to submit phony affidavits to a federal court, to lie to and mislead a federal Judge, to lie to a grand jury, etc.... Those were the issues. He violated his oath of office and his oath as a lawyer....certainly not hangin' offenses but very serious ones in a country which has a tradition and aspiration of strictly adhering to the rule of law.....
