FDR raised taxes to help pay for the war. Every President except Bush did the same thing.

Ann You and I know the answer to that question. When duty calls we respond. Ironically, WWII was what brought us out of the depression. The technological innovations during WWII were huge----setting the stage for the next advances in space, aircraft, automotive, communications, education, household appliances, energy, road construction, distribution of goods etc. Thanks for the dialogue------have to turn my attention to being a part of the "free market". mj
