YNH, i'm not a conspiracy theorist by nature, but something is seriously amiss with the way the folks run the economy. clearly, it was obvious that they did all they could to create a bubble, yet they denied it all the way until it popped. then they created another bubble and denied it until it popped - and took down the entire financial system with it. housing tripled against flat incomes? no problem! they had to know what they were doing, so why do it? they have their reasons, of that i'm sure.
