i think anyone who owns shares in bkx listings are dead.

will the banks themselves disappear off the planet. no.

will the market move on and ignore the bkx... maybe, when it realizes at least for now the banking system will continue to function, but not as a place to own shares in it.

of course there is the matter of all sorts of guarantees etc surrounding the banks. every cb on the planet is printing its head off so these things can get settled befor a universal ltcm blows up the planet. will they win? in the end, not much.

my working assumption. probably a lousy one, but, makes sense to me at the moment.
