Swayze obviously is on his last stretch and in that condition quality of (the rest of your) life is everything. So why should he then quit smoking if he enjoys that and thus feels that smoking enhances the quality of his life? Ted is a hypocrite.

I don't like smoking and thus smokers myself, but give the poor man a break, Ted!

Its a little too late I think for Swayze to be worried about his smoking.....the longest lasting post diagnosis survivior of pancreatic cancer is 18 months...but it is very rare for anyone to survive beyond 4-6 months....

You make a good point but you have to remember that Swayze has claimed he wants to lick the odds and put his cancer into remission. If that's your goal, I would think quitting smoking would be right up there.
