I didn't make it up. It was what the White House said.

"Or just go to the local Staples in NW D.C. and get a few extra keyboards."

If the claims of costs are to be believed, they spent $75 per keyboard. Given the standard Compaq keyboard circa 2001, that was a considerable upgrade.

Pranks happen. As noted in the report, which I suppose you haven't read as of yet, pranks happen with every transition. I am not excusing them, but I do challenge the meme that it never happened before. As you, i-node and jlallen are pretending.
