WHAT THE HELL did Bush have to do with Abu Ghraib? Shit. That could happen under Obama, or could have happened under Clinton, just as easily as it did under Bush, except neither of them would have the guts to be involved in a war in the first place. You're actually BLAMING Bush for Abu Ghraib? Besides that, what ABOUT Abu Ghraib? It was a "disaster" ONLY because the liberal media MADE it one and the Left cowtows to the damned Arabs to begin with. There was no torture. There was no particularly harsh treatment. Yes, it was inappropriate, but it was not "atrocity" or "torture" in the traditional sense of the word. Some lower-level soldiers were humiliating some detainees, something that shouldn't have been done. But nobody was injured. Nobody was killed. Nobody was hung up by their arms behind their back as happened to McCain in Vietnam. Don't make it a bigger deal than it was. It was a "big deal" only in the sense that the ME media used it to reignite the war in Iraq. I can understand Arabs jumping on this. But you're an American. Why would YOU blow something like this totally out of proportion. As to Katrina, FEMA delivered a reasonable response to the situation and anyone who wants to argue otherwise I'll be pleased to take it on. The failings were with Nagin and Blanco. FEMA did precisely what it was supposed to do, when it was supposed to do it. If you want to talk about failings during Katrina, you talk to the local officials in Gretna who would not allow people to walk out of the muck over the Connection, threatening them at gunpoint if they tried to cross the bridge. THOSE are the criminals. Talk about the NOPD who took tens of new Cadillacs from Sewell Village, some of which turned up in other cities. There is plenty of blame to go around, LITTLE of which properly rests with FEMA or the Bush Administration.
