Ian, Mostly it was a tongue in cheek reference. Although mentally, I DO feel similarities to the 1996 period when I attempted to catch the falling knife. Even though it was rough then, and is rough now, the purchases have performed extremely well. My big beef is that my account is cash poor and I really don't have the means to make any significant purchases (a la Cary's post on the AMAT thread). I have never used a margin account, but do wish that I had taken the margin plunge before so that I wouldn't have to bump around the house debating the wisdom of such (ye olde falling knife scenario).
