Where did you get that idea?

You should look at it differently. If you are going to have 150 calories in milk, whole milk is going give you 12g of carbs, skim milk nearly double.

You will have to have nearly 2 cups of skim to reach 150 calories, but just 1 cup of whole milk.

Skim milk is 53% carb. Whole milk is 30% carb. All of the carbs are sugar.
