There is no more egregious instance of this than American voters actually believing that Sarah Palin said she could see Russia from her home.

Oh c'mon...quit the victim (cr: anne coulter) display...Palin actually said worse. One example of her foreign policy experience was that Putin flies through Alaska airspace when he comes to the US...which is seldom anyway.

Summary: Fox & Friends' Brian Kilmeade falsely suggested that only "people at the U.N." want to close Guantánamo, while co-hosts Steve Doocy and Gretchen Carlson, as well as Glenn Beck, used TV drama 24 as a justification for the use of torture. In fact, Sen. John McCain, Defense Secretary Robert Gates, and five former secretaries of state are among those who have said that Guantánamo should be closed.

It is my understanding that GWB wants Gitmo closed, too, but he understands that it is a difficult thing to do. Obama now understands it, as well. His promise to close it on day one has now morphed into months and frankly, probably years.

You understand? GWB calls you and tells you this stuff?

And how difficult is it to close the damn facility? Relocate the inmates to federal prisons, do their trials, put them away if they are guilty, free them if they are not. [EOS]
