I am aware of what the discussion is about. And that is exactly what I am saying. If I support the state's right to put someone to death (execution) in my mind, I have to be willing to do it myself. Again, I don't believe that the citizens of a country have the right to offload the moral responsibility of executing someone. Killing someone, even a murderer is distasteful. It should be. My opinion is that we shouldn't shield ourselves from the ugliness of it. But I believe that it is not only justified in many cases, but needed.

It is my opinion that people who wouldn't pull the switch themselves should not support the death penalty.
