Bill:
Yeaah, I know, my conservatism in not keeping my OEX puts overnight from Wed to Thurs cost me a bundle. I always try to analyze my thinking when I do such moves that in hindsight seem so stupid, but I can't say my logic was wrong in this case. Remember both you and I predicted an up-day for Thursday. Boy, were we both wrong. Where did that chinese freight train come from!

I made an interesting move today. DuPont announced great earnings and a rosy future yesterday. In any other market, DD would have added 4 or 5 points today. Actually it did start on the upside but then sagged downward. About noon, with the DJI off 200 points, I bought Nov 60 calls on DuPont for 1 5/8. They closed at 2, a 50% rise in value. Not bad for a crappy day on the market.

Obvouusly, I don't think this is THE BIG KAHUNA quite yet, but merely a buying opportunity. *IT* will come though, so keep your powder dry.

Dick

Hi Bill

Didn't cover my AOL short. The way
the market was acting I felt I need
not hurry in doing it. However, it held
up very well considering the sell-off
we had.

Regards

Marc
