"Today the Puget Sound area is under a pollution alert. It wasn't caused by electric cars or electricity being used for heating here. That really sums up one of our big problems on the planet."

If the polluting fuels were replaced by electrification - where would the electricity come from?

Nukes work. Except for a few, big problems. When I was in engineering school I thought they would solve our energy problems but over the many years since I've discovered that not to be really true. There have been some good studies and papers that have come out recently that "quantify" the problem. If your interested I would be happy to post them.

Nukes do work - we have decades of experience that prove that. I presume the problems involve waste storage. We have at least one solution for that and the problem is political.
