Yeah, that's the Fed's goal for sure, and these actions support
it, although the key reason is that there are no other buyers.
In fact, the FCBs are dumping agencies for the treasuries in
record numbers. If they weren't really stoopid, they'd realize they are the
same damn thing and dump both along with the dollar. My next
trade. Just waiting for their moment of enlightenment.
That said, we'll see a lot of Fed activity like this in both the
agencies and the treasuries this year.

Someone paid for my October poots, and they probably did not
have a good quarter. We'll see shortly if the rumours are
right, the BKX chart looks ugly -g-
