Intel chip for mini-PCs
arrives
By Brooke Crothers and Michael Kanellos
October 22, 1997, 9:30 p.m. PT
"The chip, unceremoniously released by Intel this
week, uses less power and generates less heat than
the mobile Pentium commonly found in notebook
PCs. The 120-MHz mobile Pentium processor with
MMX technology is targeted specifically at the
"mini-notebook PC" market, according to Intel."

Ali, I also sent E-Mail to "webmistress@techstocks.com" asking to let Albert out of the penalty box soon, however, she said "he had been warned numerous times before." I hope it's only for a short time...It's definetly a loss to the thread. Hope to see you back soon Albert!

Thanks

ALL, I think bad news about yield problem.

The ChipMerchant has once again removed the K6@233mhz from their price
list ... this indicates that the 233mhz part is no longer available ... again.

Re: "mask B is the mask that caused the speed bin problem, probably introduced to correct
minor defects,"

I don't think this is what caused the yield problem ... all new masks
have priority (skew) lots run through the Fab AND tested before committing
millions of dollars of WIP (Work in Process) ... nice try, Petz.

Make It So,
Yousef
