So... 'less then 34 hours per week' and the BLS does not now consider you to be full-time (and so not included in, what?, the U-3 measure?) But, we have no confirmation if "34 hours" has, or has not, always been the demarcation used by the government's statisticians....

And... out of work for more then one year and you are obviously not 'employed', but also the BLS no longer includes you in it's count of the unemployed.

(As the press article which originally kicked off this discussion stated: that last change, what we now refer to as the 'discouraged' and no longer list among the ranks of those who *desire* work, was supposedly implemented during the LBJ administration....)
