HONG KONG (MarketWatch) -- Japanese core machinery orders slumped as much as 16.2% in November from the previous month, indicating domestic companies are holding back investments in a worsening global economic climate. The extent of the decline, reportedly a record, was much higher than the 7.7% expected by economists, as well as the 4.4% fall seen in the previous month. End of Story
