Now, it may be the military has changed that much sense then, but I'm not sure it has. Right now is not a good time to start screwing around with this stuff; we need all the good people we can get in the military right now, and if more soldiers don't want to serve with gays than the number of gays who want to serve, then it could have a significant adverse effect on recruitment. I think it is just reflective of more poor judgment on Obama's part.
