Jeff, It was fortuitous, but probably mostly lucky. I've just not been comfortable with the market as of late. I dont' think this is going to last long. But if we break below 7600, the next support that I see wouldn't be until 7200-7300. Even if it breaks to there, I think it will be the bottom of an extended trading range possibly going sideways for perhaps a couple of quarters or so.. If 7600 holds and everyone gathers their wits again, we could see a break to the 8450 level. (Now that I've really gone out on a limb here, watch it get chopped off)I'm watching SUNW for a good entry. It just seems like time after time when really good companies get hammered down below their 50 Day MA they tend to bottom and then rise back to their 50 DMA or very near it before again turning south. I think I'm willing to bet SUNW is going to do it. I'll bet that INTC will also do the same thing. The sticky part is finding the right entry point. I'll probably just start averaging in a 100-200 shares at a time. Well to say the least,it's going to be VERY interesting for a while here.

Hi Jeff, I see from my morning newspaper business headline that AVE is being sued by the JNJ subsidiary (Cordis). Also included are Guidant and Bost. Sci. No surprise here since JNJ has been doing this to each challenger as their products come to market (or are near). AVE said they have expected this and has been preparing for a year and a half and are not worried about it. Obviously JNJ is trying everything possible to try to stay the day they will have to compete with these companies that probably have better products and they know it. Basically , I think they are just trying to buy time, while they are in the process of upgrading their own stuff. I don't know how this will effect the companies involved. I suppose a judge could issue an injunction (if thats the right term) against the various companies until the issue is resolved which I'm sure is exactly what JNJ is hoping for . Then they can drag the court case out for year or more and get caught up technically. Well who knows what will happen here. I'l see what I can find out from IR.

Jeff, Well, what a day!!!!! Wasn't there some market guru who sometime ago said something like " I always sold too soon." Probably some of the best advice I ever heard. I guess we are actually below the 7200 level that I thought this might stabalize. I'll have to reconsider, I think there may be more downside before we see a bounce. Human psychology being what it is, I don't see the panic subsiding in one day. I have my powder dry and am ready to re-enter in a few stocks. AVE though may have more downside to it IMO. We both were aware that the PE numbers were not making any sense to us. I need to find out what the JNJ suit might do to their prospects. I don't have a good handle on that yet. Whewwwww...
