technically israeli land because they won it in a defensive war and the other side didnt want it back, but sure it belongs to the arab people who live there. Let them have it with a little tweaking that reflects reality on the ground with compensation in land and/or money for any net loss of land. But of course the pals aleady rejected this solution when barak was PM.

Whose land was it where the WB settlements are built and how much of israel is built on what was once palestinian land?

That question really requires a date to provide the "correct" answer - in the end not much of it matters - what matters is how they plan to divide things up and if they really want to live side by side.
