It is becoming obvious that this was the greatest CON ever. I cant wait for the movie.

The Lou Pearlman special was interesting for sure - That one I think he was diddling some of the boys also - they didnt touch much on that but hinted at it. Id like to see that ina movie also - it has a lot of twists. NO question Philip Seymor Hoffman for the lead role. He has already played a great con man- gambler thief based on a true story

Owning Mahowny

Dan Mahowny was a rising star at the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce. At twenty-four he was assistant manager of a major branch in the heart of Toronto's financial district. To his colleagues he was a workaholic. To his customers, he was astute, decisive and helpful. To his friends, he was a quiet, but humorous man who enjoyed watching sports on television. To his girlfriend, he was shy but engaging. None of them knew the other side of Dan Mahowny--the side that executed the largest single-handed bank fraud in Canadian history, grossing over $10 million in eighteen months to feed his gambling obsession.

OK - so he was pretend paper trading on those statements to clients he sent out? Then where is the original capital? Does this mean Bernie didn't invest the money? He was super conservative? Maybe he will look like a super hero in the end? He actually was protecting his clients from the unbridled capitalism? He was teaching them all a lesson? He had no choice but to keep the paper game up in order to show making money on the "profits" from those fake trades.
Let's face it - if Bernie could hide this scam for all those years - he could hide the trades. I doubt every offshore account has been inspected.

So how much ACTUAL money was actually paid in? And where is that money?
