>> Schlozman at Justice?

I'm not sure it is even a crime.

But the guy's title is "Associate Counsel to the Director of the Executive Office for United States Attorneys (and former interim US Attorneys for the Western District of Missouri)".

I guess it depends on how far down the line you want to go, this certainly isn't any reflection on the Bush administration, EVEN if a crime was committed (and it is unclear one was).

Remember, just because Pat Leahy or some other partisan hack says a Republican committed a crime, doesn't make it true. Liberals lie. It is part of being a liberal.

"There is no whitewash. It is a simple fact. No corruption. No scandal. Nothing."

What about, to take a recent example, Schlozman at Justice? Assuming what he said is true, he illegally used political orientation in hiring and then lied to Congress about it. To say that is "nothing" is a whitewash. What about the use of the DOJ to help Republican candidates in their elections? Or about the guy who only let contracts out to people who contributed to the Republican party? Now true, he might have been lying when he said that was what he was doing, but...

And not to mention Scooter Libby would be an insult to his memory.
