I agree with you. I would have expected the analysts to be a lot more cheerful during the Q&A. The guy from DLJ had some kind words. The rest of them sounded like they had shorted the stock and were actually disappointed at the wonderful earnings.

go cymer go!!

>>The DLJ guy,Robert, congratulated CYMI was thanked by Akins $ Angus.

....between the haunting sounds of infants crying in the background.... did anyone else hear that?? Perhaps the cc was conducted at Angus' great room with the nieces, nephews and grandchildren all huddled around.

I thought the conference call went great. Management is a class act. I agree that future reports out of Japan should be taken lightly. In the call, management said that LP and Komatsu have claimed for years that their lasers have better specs. Well, look where those claims have gotten them. By the time competitors match the performance of Cymer's first generation products and are able to build them with the same skill as Cymer, the company will be on their next generation KrF laser(pulse stretched with multi-KHz frequencies). Cymer is already claiming that their ArF laser, which I would guess commands a higher price tag than KrF, is better than the competition's. If these guys say so, BELIEVE THEM.

Those that hold the stock for the next several years will be greatly rewarded. Don't mess with the "A-team"!

Cheers,

Bob

Dennis,

Hodess of Montgomery Securities did not impress at all. In the back of his mind he must have been wondering why he downgraded the stock in the first place after being bullish during the previous quarter. Akins and Angus, The "A" Team, were doing their best to be courteous and I think succeeded. Hodess will probably upgrade the company to a "buy", but will wait until next quarter to save face. If only he had done his research, but that's water over the dam. The market place will rule and not these so-called "analysts". Cymer as a long term investment will prove to be just fine.

Best of luck to all, Allan
