Oregon? Really? That's about 10 minutes from me. What a great story that everything was done perfectly and all lived. Plane crashes really bother me - such a tremendous loss of life so quickly. I've always wondered if we could find a technology to have the plane safely return to the ground but most of them happen on takeoff or landing so I'm not sure a recovery method will ever be possible

AMEN to that..that's why I always trusted American more than the others. They always hired trained military pilots.
