Strange. Our auditor outlined to us that it is best practice in the industry to have balances independently confirmed; this is one of the most basic requirements for auditing year-end books. Meaning the bank confirms a prepared statement and sends it directly to the auditor.
Something does not seem right. Has ICICI aided in the forgery; or has Raju placed a mole into PwC? F. Ugly.
