[what is your take on APM]

They announced 0.60 vs. expected 0.82. This is a LOT more than SEG made, but the street doens't seem to hold APM in much favor. (SEG reported -0.96/share after charge, +0.08/share before charge, vs. est somewhere between 0.40 and 0.60/share (I recall).) APM has good growth, 35% y-y, and made the same earnings/share on half the revenue as Read-Rite. But it fell quite short, and has the #1 short interest.
Do you think the shorts were looking for a wide loss, and not just a shortfall?

Thanks for any comments - this will be a long and possibly sleepless night for me.
