MORON Bush then threw away all the World's empathy by charging into Iraq. After seeing us in Iraq for a year the rest of the Middle East lost respect for us and decided they should follow the path of N. Korea in playing us for fools.

Oh. The ME "lost respect" for us after Bush went into Iraq?

Talk about revisionist history!

Have you forgotten about 1979? When Jimmy Carter allowed Iran to take American hostages and hold them for 444 days without doing a damned thing about it besides cowering in the corner, wetting ourselves, like scared puppy dogs?

Had we gone in on the 10th day of that crisis and bombed the crap out of them, the ME would have an entirely different view of the US today. Or even had we been successful in leading a peaceful, Ross Perot-styled commando raid to release them.

But just sitting and doing nothing clearly did more harm to American prestige in the ME than any other action in our lifetimes.
