Some adults absolutely amaze me..................

I wouldn't dream of telling a kid the wrong time or not to bother showing up. The reality of it is that 90% of the kids in the youth programs won't play for their high school team.

So much for the fun.................

We had a guy like that as well until they finally bounced him (a doctor of forensic medicine, btw). When my older son (who is now on the Freshman high school team) was in third grade I had him guarding their best player (now, as a Freshman in a private school on their Varsity team, that's how good he became). At a timeout with the score tied with about a minute to go the kids lined up and pointed to their guys. He came out, said a few words, and left. They get the ball, this phenom scores a quick basket and they end up winning by two. I asked my son why in the heck he wasn't guarding him as tight as before and he said the coach specifically told him not to guard that kid anymore... to guard this other kid. Which, as a kid, he did without questioning it. I was astounded.

LOL!

I never thought of that! <g>

I'd never do that so save the abuse. We have 10 kids and they all play the same amount of time unless there's foul trouble
