SGreen, I am not that enthused by the results, I think it justifies the stock trading in the range 40 to 50, not much better. There was no great quarter over quarter increase in sales and even profits were kind of flat relative to the last quarter. I was hoping for at least a 15% q/q increase. Maybe that shipment to the Asian client was indeed returned and it will show in the next quarter. $8MM on $48 MM is a big swing.

Let's hope that they geat 70 cents next quarter. That might put them back in contention for a price in the $70, but not right now IMHO.

6.4 million in earnings Q1, 6.3 million in earnings Q2. They missed sequential growth here. Revenue growth was up, but not by much. I did not participate in the conference call, because of my schedule. If there was no bad news, SPCT will though rebound nicely tomorrow, and I believe we'll see a short term trading range of $50-$60 through the end of the year.

I think, the stock took a hit, on slowing growth, but it was an over reaction. But it does appear that slowing growth is an isssue.

$42 is too cheap, and $65 is "fully valued" right now, IMO.

I also believe we will see upgrades.

Good Trading, LF

<<Sep 5 1997 10:43PM CST, The Business Journal - San Jose

Spectrian Corp., a Sunnyvale maker of radio-frequency amplifiers for cell phones, expects to raise $90 million through a secondary offering to expand its operations.>>

Does anyone know the specifics of their expansions plans? When might this expansion begin to be reflected in earnings? Thanks.

Another stock you might want to check out is BNGO. I've had good success there. This stock appears to be building some real momentum.
