Seriously, I can see that. In the younger grades, they haven't "specialized" yet; in the uppers, they are focusing more on one or two sports. Many are looking for a better "in" for college.

That's hysterical!

I've always viewed my job as teaching fundamentals and fire. Once they know the basics and can flip on that internal fire we'll find out who actually has the ability to play in later years. If they lack fire and I can't stoke it now they probably don't have a chance even if they have ability
