I think (believe, aver, conclude, imply, insinuate, didact, opine, feel, fear) that Canadians are eviller than Americans. This is because no matter what Americans do, politically, socially, or personally, there will be some Canadian who disagrees with it, on a political, social, or personal basis, just because they are Americans, and they are 1. arrogant, 2. rich, 3. uncaring, 4. warlike, 5. dangerous, 6. loud, 7. abrasive, 8. insensitive, 9. ignorant, 10. better off than we are.

During an informal poll in the last 50 years in Canada I have collected the opinions, discourse, prejudice, knowledge, beliefs, faith, theories etc of Canadians, and putting it all together I have come to the conclusion that we as a people are decidedly inferior in intellect, personality, temper, learning, and spirit than most of the people of foreign birth that I have run into. This may in part be due to the fact that people of foreign birth, by and large are more vigorous given that they had the gumption, wealth and intellect to get here by hook or by crook. The latter being the preferred method. How then did we get so wealthy?

Well hard work made a few who employed them wealthy because we lived closest of any nation to the richest nation in the world. Numbers, free land, and available resources made for a rich nation. The 19th centuries and 20th centuries were characterized by development, invention, discovery and hard work. We are not travelling so fast now as our society stagnates from overcrowding and lack of new business and opportunity. Still we turn out the most technology, perhaps by wealth, numbers and market.

But as people we have no superiority in any category to people anywhere on earth. Every natural advantage of the political and social kind, but oft it is squandered individually.

Maybe he would like Iran or North Korea on his border, last time I looked I didn't see any horns on any of the folks below the 49th parallel, you have to watch those Alaskans though, they might sneak down on us in a blizzard. (vbg)
