Many rightwingers ARE FASCISTS but are just too ignorant or self-absorbed to realize it. Joe The Plumber's view that reporters should not be allowed near wars, and that we should only be allowed to see our troops in movie theaters so we can all cheer them - that is exactly the same as Nazi propaganda. The list of similarities with Nazis is long, including Abu Graib which did not look that different from some Nazi prisons. They didn't gas the Jews, they just wanted the Jews to all die before The End Of Days at Armageddon, but they certainly went halfway down Hitler's same path.
