The problems facing Obama today are small compared to what Bush has had to deal with.

We'll see whether unemployment continues to rise, but it still has a very long way to go to surpass what Carter left Reagan. And otherwise, the economy is still pretty strong. It may get bad, but it hasn't yet.

And Bush handed Obama an infrastructure that has protected America from terrorism for nearly 8 years. All he has to do is to MAINTAIN it, not let it fall apart.

Iraq is under control, Afghanistan is relatively stable, NK and Iran are doing what they have done since Clinton was in office -- no better, no worse. Libya gave up their WMD programs.

Most importantly, Obama doesn't have to deal with hostile rightwingers or media. When Bush came into office, the Left was livid and the media hated him. Hated him. Obama has them all kissing his ass. Media, Left, Right, whatever. All of them.

I think we owe every President at least that much.

Nope, not Bush.....born in controversy and questionable tactics; ending in defeat.
