Needless to say that video will be in every pilot's annual training review from now to a very long time from now. He did a great job.

This is why pilots with experience are such an asset.

The hijacked one is a prime example of why you want to be level. He dragged his left wing and destroyed his plane. The Sully man hit dead level and kept his plane intact. Quite impressive to say the least.

It helps that he was able to land on the relatively calm Hudson River. If I recall the other plane landed in the ocean, where at a minimum there would have been a swell.
