Times has a good news on story on israeli aims. Except for their bushes, they knew they couldnt take out hamas. What they concentrated on then was to make hamas rocket attacks have consequences for gazans. They will still support hamas but not for crazy rocketing that yields so much carnage. If hamas wants to continue to govern they will have to deal with israel and egypt and gazans. Hibolla learned same lesson although israel fought that war to defeat hizbo and thus too many israeli casualties. This time they didnt try to conquer hamas just to force hamas to get real by impacting the average gazan. If i were a radicalized gazan, i would be screaming against israel in public while letting hamas know that i might give them a pass this time but not next time. Even radical folks want to have a life for themselves and their families.

Of course the idea behind the Israel only bashing vs. leaving those other bad guys alone must be, that the world expects a lot more from the (at least should be) more civilized Israelis than from any of those other filthy animals.

No. Got it wrong again. No one likes a bully...and Israel has become a bully.

Agree with you but then again, I also understand that a lot of Israeli citizens have resorted to Zeev's thinking as a result of much of the international media painting twisted picture of what seems to be going on.

It was inevitable......people and nations tend to isolate themselves when they are in the wrong.

I wasn't trying to knock Zeev when I posted that.

Last I heard, 94% of Israelis were supporting the Gaza incursion.

It's a LOUSY situation all around.
